WELCOME
Kindergarten thru 6th Grade
Kids are invited to a POWER-PACKED 2 hour DISCIPLESHIP & WORSHIP experience at The Heights each Sunday starting at 9:15a.
Discipleship – We are going to take the time to teach the Truth, apply it, reinforce through activities, work on memory verses and spend time in prayer. Our classes will have small groups with consistent leadership so that the leaders and kids have a relationship.
Worship – We are going to teach God’s Word, have our own Kids Worship Dance Team and animated storytellers. Kids will get to hear the Word taught on their level. We are going to have FUN and LEARN about God!
As a church, our mission statement is to “Make disciples by taking personal risks to bring the Gospel to every relationship.”
There are 5 things we believe we can do to support you and your kids as you navigate through life and raise your children:
GRACE – Communicated God’s Grace in a fun and engaging way so that they might understand God’s gift of love for the world, specifically for them.
GATHER – Encourage kids to gather together for Discipleship and Worship.
GROW – Help them to grow as disciples.
GIVE – Teach them to give of themselves and their God-given gifts.
GO – Equip them to become disciple-makers that go and live on mission.
Isaiah 43:19 states “For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?” And we truly believe that God is about to do something new and exciting in our Kids Ministry here at The Heights.
Our vision is to WATCH GOD IGNITE KIDS’ HEARTS TO WORSHIP HIM. We know that many times it is the parent’s commitment to God that brings kids to church each Sunday. Our prayer is that parents begin to see their kid’s commit to worship and learn more about God. We don’t want parents to hope or wonder if their kids will be lifelong worshippers – we want parents seeing their kids worshipping God at an early age. We want our kids to understand that worship is more than sitting quietly or passing the time by being on electronics. Our heart beats with yours! We want them to KNOW the One true God and learn how to worship Him at an early age.
We want to GROW DISCIPLES and DISCIPLE MAKERS. We want your kids to have the opportunity to GO DEEPER in God’s Word and want them to GROW DEEPER as well.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE
Kinder thru 4th Grade
Your kids will be warmly welcomed into our Kids area, located on the 2nd floor in the central hallway. Our greeters will assist you with the check-in process. Upon check in, you will receive a name tag for your child. Please place it on the front of your child’s clothing. A separate security tag will be given to parents that has a matching security number to their child’s tag. This must be shown by a parent at pickup time.
5th & 6th Graders
Join us in DISTRICT 56 (Formerly the West Wing) both hours. Our new location is across from the gym on the main floor. 5th and 6th graders will be able to check in at DISTRICT 56 and will be self-released to the interior of the building to meet parents at a location you have pre-determined.
IN THE CLASSROOM
We seek to create a fun, age appropriate environment where they are challenged to grow in their faith. We utilize the 252 Curriculum modeled after Luke 2:52. For grades K-4, we utilize the 252 Basics Curriculum built around 3 basic truths every child should learn (I need to make the wise choice. I can trust God no matter what. I should treat others the way I want to be treated.). For 5-6th, the 252 Preteen version is used to fit the learning styles of these older kids in a way that teaches them to own their faith in Christ and to begin applying the basic biblical truths in their lives.
