PRESCHOOL ARRIVAL PROCESS

WELCOME!

We know searching for a church home can be tough and even, at times, frustrating. Our desire is to make your visit to The Heights as enjoyable and warm as possible, with no surprises. To help eliminate frustrations for you, we’ve included several important pieces of information for you to know. Always feel free to contact our Preschool Minister in advance or our Preschool office if you have questions. You can reach us at 972-238-7243, Monday through Friday.

Check in begins at the Preschool Reception desk on first floor. First time guests will need to fill out a form listing your contact number and your child’s name and birthday. Your email is also helpful for us in case we need to follow up with anything.

Check-In Procedures

At The Heights, we take your child’s safety very seriously. We have processes in place to give you peace of mind when your child visits Preschoolers at The Heights. Our hallways are secured by locked doors with access granted only with proper identification.

Visit the Preschoolers at The Heights reception area to get your child(ren)’s name tag.

You will receive a name tag displaying your child’s name that is to be placed prominently on your child’s clothing.

In addition to your child’s name tag, you will be given a printed receipt for child pick-up that bears a randomized alphanumeric code. This code is also on your child’s name tag.

You may also print optional asset tags to label your child’s belongings.

Parents must print a name tag for themselves. We are happy to help you with this at our Preschoolers at The Heights Desk.

Access to the Preschool hallways will not be allowed without a child’s name tag and a parent receipt tag.

Pick up a Scan Card

Once you have visited a few times, we invite you to pick up a scan card at the Information Booth in the Atrium or in the Preschoolers at The Heights reception area. This will enable you to check in your family at the kiosks throughout the church.

Snack/Allergy Alert

SNACK/ALLERGY ALERT

A snack is provided for your preschooler during their stay in Preschool. The snack is typically saltine crackers and water. Allergy Alerts will be posted outside of each classroom’s door if the lesson plans call for a different snack. Please inform your child’s teacher of any allergies during the drop-off process. Allergy Alert stickers are available for your preschooler to wear. If you are interested in receiving an allergy alert email each week, simply click below to be added to the weekly email group. You can also find Allergy Alerts posted on the Preschoolers’ Facebook page.

CALENDAR

Launch the calendar to see upcoming events. Preschool events are marked in RED. If childcare is available for an event, you can register using the link above.

RESOURCES

Find our parenting book list, links to our parent cue app, as well as information about Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) here. We want to resource parents to help them raise children God’s way!

Once your child is dropped off at the age-appropriate classroom, he/she will enter into a positive experience of learning and fun planned just for them.

Your preschooler will be encouraged to participate in opening activities such as building with blocks, coloring a picture, working a puzzle, preparing a pretend meal, or reading a book. The teacher will use these activities to reinforce each week’s biblical truth.

For 15 minutes, your child will get to release some energy on one of our age appropriate indoor playrooms  or outdoor playgrounds.

Snacks will be provided as well. Please inform your child’s teacher of any allergies during the drop-off process. Allergy Alert stickers are also available for your preschooler to wear.

When you pick up your child from class, the teacher will help gather your child’s belongings and art work. The teacher will check your receipt and your child’s nametag for a match before releasing your preschooler into your care.
